MASI
I am a mischievous little man and am not afraid to prove it! I love my people, my foster buddies and life! I might be shy at first, but within days I will be your bestest friend. I really need to be with another kitty - I would be bored without a fur friend. Check me out! XOXO, Rahni

Going home with Evan and Lesley and my new fur brother Harpo! Puuurrrr...

Masi has grown into a super love bug! He greets me at the door when I come home and won't let me in until he gets the required amount of attention. He also now believes that he races in NASCAR, and can bank a turn 6 ft up a wall. My boy is all muscle, but in the end is just one bundle of love. His bro Harpo still tolerates him, but at nearly 18 years old, prefers to sleep in his comfy bed on the couch. Masi is a great cat from an outstanding organization.

LIONEL
Lionel here - I am a sweet, loving and gentle giant of a kitten. I look like I am full grown in my pictures, but I'm not. I gots some more growin' to do yet...Take a look at me if you like a kitty who will not make too much noise meowing, loves a lap and some good pettin'. My favoritest thing is to chase the laser pointer, or "red dot" as foster PawPaw calls it. I get along great with my foster sibling. I don't really play rough, but sometimes I forget I a big boy! No bad habits here, I'm an easygoing guy. I'm pretty friendly with my foster girl Lena, if you want two to love. Always, Liney XOXO

I am one lucky guy! I get to go home to Fremont with my new family of 'beans and Lena gets to come too! I can't wait...puuurrrrrr...

Lionel is doing great on this 7th anniversary! He and Lena are still buds. Lionel thinks he's our security cat and likes to run from window to window to try to scare whatever he sees outside! He acts so tough but he has his softie moments! If I look back to his old photos he was much more white but he is overall brownish now. He still has his cute white "socks" on his front paws which are huge. He walks around the house like he's the boss! We love him so much. He sits & usually sleeps in my adult son's room. My son loves him.
Thank you for all you do and sharing both Lena & Lionel with us!

LENA
Hi peeps! I am Lena (Leeny Luv to my buddies) and I am a sweet and VERY soft Moozer girl. Just 'cause I don't have the Meezer markings, doesn't mean I am not Siamese If You Please...Foster Meowmy thinks that maybe my kitty mama may have been acquainted with a Maine Coon gentleman...I am the only one in my litter with the big fluffy tail and ear tufts. Actually my tail has a life of it's own...heehee. And I do have a purrsonality that won't quit. Whoever picks me will be - Oh so happy - Foster Meowmy calls me "Miss Talks A Lot" because I call out to my buddies when it is time to play. I will be a wonderful addition to your home with my foster sibling Lionel... Puurrrr.....

Oh yay for us! Lionel and I get to stay together furrever! We get a new family all to ourselves. We can't wait to see them!!

MIEKA
Mieka is Kimi's 'Best Buddy' and has helped Kimi to overcome her initial reservations towards people. She is a happy, social, trusting kitten who loves to play and be around other cats and humans. She radiates warmth and affection, gives 'kisses' and purrs like a storm! Mieka was also abandoned or orphaned as a kitten and was brought to the shelter by kind people. She immediately took to Kimi and showered her with affection; so that Kimi came quickly out of her shell after her traumatic experience of being stuck to the glue trap. Mieka also befriended the grouchy senior resident cat, Miss Lucy Belle, and even got interested in the game of fetch, which was a first! Her foster mom thinks Mieka makes a good therapy cat with her love for life and everything around her!
Mieka would do well in a home where she can get lots of loving attention and play time, and have the company of others.

I wanted to post an update about our sweet Mieka. We've adopted her nearly 4 years ago and I have to say she has been a most wonderful addition to our family. She is curious, talkative, loyal and just about the most loving cat you can imagine. She's a perfect nurse when we are sick and always makes us laugh with the silly things she does. She loves to snuggle and will pour herself into any size box or basket she can find. We are so fortunate to have found Pacific Siamese Rescue and lucky that Mieka chose us as her family!!

RILEY
Sammy is a playful kitten-like little guy. His tiny size and quiet voice make him seem even more kittenish. He is surprisingly patient, even when foster mom trims his claws. His likes to play with toys like plastic straws, springs and balls, things that make a nice noise when he plays with it.

We believe he must have gotten his tail caught in a door, which resulted in severe damage, but there is no evidence of any other trauma. The tail was successfully amputated to give him a new lease on life.

Sammy gets along with other cats and may be adoptable to a home with a cat friendly dog. He usually does fine with foster moms 11 lb dog, as long as the dog doesnt try to romp with him. When the dog tries to play with Sammy isn't always wild about the idea... but he is fine with the dog the rest of the time, even sharing foster moms lap with the dog.

Are you the lucky one who will make Sammy part of your forever family?

Riley has made himself right at home very quickly. He's absolutely adorable, very social, patient, and vocal, but his meow still sounds like a squeeky door, so I don't mind that he talks a lot. I came by the name with the thinking that 'this little kitty is going to live the 'life of Riley', so why not name him that!!

I've attached a pic.... do you think he's relaxed enough? He has gained a bit of weight, and that's a good thing, 'cause he eats like a little truck driver! He's in constant motion when he's awake, and I'm inclined to think he's a bit younger than originally thought. I may consider a second cat at some time, just to give him someone to play with when I'm at work.

11/21/2015. Riley is the sweetest cat I've ever had. Social, lovable, good eater, plays happily and sleeps on my bed all night. Wakes me up every morning at dawn, so I tossed my alarm.... Dont need it. Is quite healthy.

BENNY
Hi! Huggy Bear here. So named because I am a super love kitty. I will hug you around the neck and reminded Foster Meowmy of a little bear! I am great with people and other kitties. I was rescued from a terrible place; it was very scary. I am safe now and ready for my own furrever home. Won't you take a look at me?

Hello to all, Benny has been re-homed to a woman who lives in So. San Jose. Mary Canfield & Abbie Sommer helped me in finding her through rescue me. He was adopted on Sat., 8/15/15. I don't know what his new name is. It was gonna be Skye but she changed her mind & we haven't communicated since. She was picked because she's definitely an animal lover & will take good care of him. Regards, Rich Katz P.S. Please, no more annual updates for Benny or whatever he's named now. Thanks.

CHERE
A beautiful petite Seal Point. She is very affectionate, playful and will do ANYTHING to have her tail end scratched! Chere was turned into animal control with her mate H Bear and kittens. They were starving. She was a whole 4 pounds when rescued. With love, attention & lots of food Chere & H Bear have THRIVED and are ready for adoption. We do not know what happened to them to put them into a starved condition but it is obvious that they were raised in a kind environment as they are exceptional cats. Chere is a fun very affectionate cat. She doesn't really care to be held BUT she will be at your side whenever possible. Very easy going and not afraid of children.

Chere is moving to the coast - the lucky girl!

MISS KINKACHOO
Notes from Home
Now known as Java even though her tail is a bit kinky, it just adds to her personality! The complete opposite of her sister Jade, Java is the life of the party! She never naps and never quits playing! Every now and then she will stop long enough to rest and get pets and ear rubs. She takes everything in stride and nothing escapes her attention!

The girls have finally discovered their almost done catification room better known as my office. Soon we will finish putting the shelves in around the top of the walls. Java (of course) has discovered it is fun to hang over the door and pat at heads going in and out.

Java is also mystified at why their big sister still doesn't want to play with her and Jade. But that time is getting close.

We can't thank PSR enough for the opportunity to live with these gorgeous girls!

UPDATE 7-16-15
I can't believe Java is now almost 14 months old! I didn't realize how much time had passed until I came across her pictures from December, she has grown a lot! What a character, she will put her front paws together and *wave* at birds or rabbits out the window, or a toy stuck under furniture. She loves to run around my office on the *catified* shelving system near the ceiling, and run like crazy on her *One Fast Cat* exercise wheel. She and little Hope have really bonded and although she is twice Hope's size, she gives her complete respect. They play constantly. She also has a habit of splashing toilet water and dump water fountains. It's fun trying to outsmart her, it hasn't worked yet lol. I have a splash proof bowl on the way, we will see!

Puck is known as our "family ambassador" as he has made it his job to greet every person who ever visits our house. When I host book club he is in heaven as he makes the rounds from lap to lap. Even most of the teenagers who come to the house make a beeline for Puck first thing. He's very lovable & easy-going.

Could you update the info which lists his name as Dawn & his gender as female as both are obviously incorrect?

When I attempt to upload a photo I get the following error: Authorization Failed. We can't find the cat you requested (CN1460). (SID/Sess=, CatInfo=[CatID=CN1460, POST=CN1460,])

FOSTERED IN CAPITOLA
Notes from Home
Hello...Prior to adopting Chevy, we had numerous questions about introducing him to our other recently adopted male kitty, Chai, which we had adopted a couple of months prior. Thankfully Stephanie (Foster mom) suggested that there was a higher likelihood that male cats would bond...brotherly love. Well, let me tell you...after just a few days...they became friends and within a couple weeks, they became best buddies.

Below, I will show you a chronological diary of sorts, of the introduction and progress:

01/19/09 Adopted Chevy
Stephanie's (foster mom's) prediction held true...Chevy meowed a couple times as we left the foster home; but he slept the whole ride home...I've never had a cat that didn't howl in the car....this is a first! He's all set up in the bathroom, (his first safe room). He's still pretty scared, staying in the back of the carrier. Sometime during the night, he ate a little, drank and used the kitty litter. He also pulled one of the towels and his fleece blanket out onto the floor of the bathroom, spreading out, I guess. LOL!

01/20/09
Chevy has warmed up to both me and Mike. He is eating just fine and using his litterbox. Per Stephanie's suggestion, tomorrow I am going to put his and Chai's scents on different towels and let them get use to each others scents. So far, Chai's reaction has been quite comical. First, he had no idea Chevy was in the bathroom until about 3:00 am Monday Morning when Chevy decided to rearrange his bedding in the bathroom. We placed a towel under and in front of the door so they couldn't slip their paws or claws under the door. So, Chai was quite spooked and woke us up telling us there was something in the bathroom. Because Chevy had not yet meowed, Chai didn't realize it was a feline friend. Until last night, when after petting Chevy for sometime, I left the bathroom and Chevy started meowing. Chai ran to the bathroom door (hair bushed) and started digging at the towel that we had placed in front of the door. Then today, they both have been talking to each other through the door. Then, Chai decided he was going to bail Chevy out (LOL)....thank God I had locked the bathroom door from the inside...cuz Chai knows how to open the doors. I pray that he doesn't explain the maneuvers to Chevy during one of their chats, because the door will automatically unlock if Chevy turns the handle from the inside. LOL! The next few days should be interesting.

01/24/09
Well, we did the condo swap; then we did the room swap, we also have been letting Chevy wonder the house on his own for a little while each day, while Chai has been locked in his room. Then, yesterday, we let them into the family room together. They did pretty well, a little hissing and growling and posturing...no blood shed, thank God. I played with the "wand" with both of them, one on one side of me and the other on the other side. I tried to get them come a bit closer, but...that was a bit much for them. Chai jumped in and sat in the chair that I usually sit in, (he sits in my lap, most of the time) and when Chevy came round, Chai meowed and growled, as if he was telling Chevy "this is mine, and I'm not sharing." LOL! Then, Chevy wondered around the house, while Chai followed. Last night, when I was on the computer, Chai sat in my lap and Chevy sat in Mike's lap for a while and then, Chevy came over and laid under my chair. It was interesting watching the posturing yesterday, after awhile Chevy intentionally walked in front of Chai, about 6 inches from him....Chai just watched, Then, Chevy decided to drink from Chai's water bowl and use his kitty litter...Chai wasn't too sure about that. This morning we let them out together, and Chevy decided to eat from Chai's bowl, Chai definitely didn't like that, growling at him. Today, I took one of Chai's favorite toys and while Chai sat on my lap I played a little with Chevy. Chai did not like that at all....and made both Chevy and I aware that this particular toy is off limits (at least for now). LOL It's interesting, Chevy does more hissing telling Chai to "back off", while Chai growls, telling Chevy "no way, bud". We have had to get in the middle a couple of times when they were trying to work it out...thinking the growling and hissing was getting out of hand.

(Additional note to the reader: I spend a lot of time with Chevy during the day. Chevy occasionally sits on my lap, kneading and purring. Chevy and Chai trade off times where they get to roam the house while the other is in their respective safe room. Then, we try to let them together for a bit, until something happens, which causes a time out. If I leave the house, they both go into their respective safe rooms).

01/26/09
Well how interesting...this morning, Chai went in to use Chevy's litter and Chevy swatted at him while Chai was in the box. So then, Chevy went to use Chai's litter and when Chai went to sniff...Chevy hunched down in the box, ears back, hissing. As of yesterday, Chai started to really try to make friends, by going up to Chevy gently and sniffing noses, tail, etc. and even letting him eat from his food bowl. Chai doesn't seem to growl anymore; but, Chevy continues to hiss, run and hide (poor little guy). I think maybe Chai's aggressive chasing behavior (for which he has gotten many timeouts), has spooked Chevy. :( The good news, still no bloodshed and the couple times that there has been swatting, there were no claws involved.

1/30/09
Well, I think Chai has gotten the message from the timeouts. Yesterday, they spent the whole day together and, Chai only got one time out for starting the chase; then, he looked at me and ran, because he hates being locked in the bathroom, it's the only door he can't open (too small of an area for him to jump) The last several nights, I have slept with Chevy in the guest room...I think this made him feel much more at home. Last night, he followed me throughout the house, as if telling me...isn't it time for bed? Then, we let Chai join us in the morning and they both have actually been on the bed together, without incidence. Right now, Chevy is laying in the sun cleaning himself and Chai is in another room also laying in the sun. They seem to be tolerating each other. :)

1/30/09 evening...SUCCESS!!!
Tonite...they were sleeping next to each other...curled up back to back....oh my :)

1/31/09
This morning the tables were turned, Chevy chased Chai...they were playing together and are having a great time. And, at mealtime this morning, when Chai was done eating, even though Chevy still had food in his bowl, he went over to Chai's bowl to eat some of his food. Chai could care less. Life is good...the cats are happy; they have been together all morning.

2/2/09
I was just downstairs, in our bedroom and lo and behold, they were both on the bed and Chai was cleaning Chevy...life is good!
2/4/09
Last night was the first night we let both Chai and Chevy come to bed in our room, together. It was funny...Chevy slept across one leg and Chai slept across the other....I had difficulty moving. LOL! Sometime during the night or morning Chevy brought his little pipecleaner fish into bed, sent home with him from Foster Mommy, Stephanie. This morning he was playing with it in bed. Well, Chai wanted to play with Chevy and Chevy was only interested in his fish...so Chai grabbed the fish and took off running with it....making Chevy chase him....LOL! Later, they were snuggled together in bed snoozing. They are becoming the best of friends.

2/20/09
One month update...life is good. Chevy & Chai are like brothers.

7/10/09 - 6 mo. anniversary
Everything is great. Chevy and Chai are best buds! They sleep together. Chai loves to groom Chevy. They romp all over the house, chasing each other back and forth. Sometimes things get out hand, so one of them will get a time-out; usually it's Chai, but this morning it was Chevy. Time-out consists of them being in solitude for about 30 minutes in the bathroom. Well, this morning, after 5 minutes of time-out, Chai decided to break Chevy out, by jumping up and unlatching the door lever....off they went romping....LOL! It's never a dull moment!

We have discovered that Chevy loves Turkey feathers. The turkeys provide great entertainment for the cats in their window box seats. Periodically, they will leave a gift of a feather or two for Chevy and Chai. I collect the feathers and hide them on a table and Chevy always finds them....he acts as if he actually caught the turkey; parading around with a large feather in his mouth. Chai is not really bothered by the feathers, unless he's trying to get Chevy to play, then Chai will snatch the feather, to make Chevy chase him... Chevy ALWAYS gets that feather back in his possession, it's quite funny to watch the charades. Also, we have found a wonderful result from this new toy, at least the bigger feathers. As you may remember, Chevy had a bit of gingivitis. Chevy uses the spine of the feather to clean his teeth. He bites right down the center of a large feather spine and it must act as floss or something. Anyway, he has no more signs of gingivitis, that I can see. He loves those feathers, he even brings them to bed with him. It's a hoot when one of us has rolled over onto a feather and we are awoken by him digging at and trying to free his feather.

Chevy has a new nickname: 'Bugsy". He lets us know when there is a bug in the house. He has a very distinctive meow when he sees a trespasser. One evening I heard his "bug alert meow" then, a strange noise in the hallway...come to find... it was Chevy jumping up against the wall trying to get to a spider that was about 7 feet up the wall. He reminded me of Sylvester from Looney Tunes...he'd jump up with all four paws scraping the wall, as he descended.

Yep, I think he's settled in just fine. Both cats keep us well entertained!
A special thanks to Stephanie and Leigh for their assistance in the adoption process.

1/20/12 Fast forward...3 years after adopting Chevy, who is now called (Bugsy)....
Life is grand! Bugsy (formerly Chevy) and Chai are like brothers....they still, play, eat, sleep and groom together... Sure, they have their spats (though not very often)...but, within an hour, they'll be snuggled up together, as if nothing happened. If one of them awakens and the other is not in sight...they roam the house yelping a lonesome meow, until they find their buddy. Chevy's favorite toy is still the pipecleaner fish...I've made a couple dozen for him, because he squirrels them away and brings them out on special occasions. But, 3 years later, it's still his favorite toy; while turkey feathers are a close 2nd.

Though this is the end of my update...
Here's a special note to anyone who is thinking about adopting another kitty to be friends with an existing kitty in your household...
yes, it can be done very successfully. But, do your homework first.
We were fortunate, that we spoke to both Leigh and Stephanie from Pacific Siamese Rescue BEFORE we decided to adopt Chevy. We were honest with them about our concerns...we wanted to make certain that it would be a good fit for both Chevy & Chai. Chai was an Alpha cat, Chevy was not...but, we found that out from Chevy's foster mom, Stephanie. Then, though their bonding occurred much quicker than we anticipated...we did follow each of the steps suggested, during the introduction phase.
We feel blessed; we have two happy and healthy cats.

2015 Update...
Bugsy is doing great!
