Today is 1 year since I brought Lucy home and things are still great. Crosby and Lucy are still best of buds and it is so fun to watch them together. Lucy is the sweetest little thing..well maybe not so little. We'll see what the vet says at her yearly exam in a few weeks. Lucy loves to sleep under the covers of the bed and cuddle. Treats on her cat condo are her favorite thing though. Both her and Crosby get them when I leave the house in the morning and they know exactly when that time comes. I barely have to shake the bag and she comes running and hops up to the top level of the condo. It's been a treat having her for this year and it has gone by so fast!

Notes from Home
One month anniversary for Natty and Mims. They are doing well. I've included a picture and apologize for the weird way that their eyes look. I had to use a flash and the red eye did not come out completely. In the picture, Mims is to the left and wrapped around Natty. As I write this, they are in the same spot, just to the right of my shoulder as I sit here on the sofa typing.
Natty is the more confident and acclimated of the two. She welcomes guests, follows me around, and freely asks for pets and spots on my lap.
Mims gets bolder every day. She's moved from sleeping in hidden spots to curling up on top of the sofa (see picture of the two of them) either by herself or with Natty, or lounging on the top deck of the cat tree in the sunshine.
Both cats love to play and explore. Integration with the other two cats (Rosie and Cricket) is going well. They share the sofa, share their feed bowls, share the toys, and will chase each other around. However, they are not ready to curl up together. It's more like parallel play. It's a delight to have all four!

KEIRA
I am the Yin
I am the Yin and Rihanna is the Yang. These 2 are the perfect bookends! Keira is SO sweet and affectionate. She loves to cuddle with people, and has a very loud purr, I will purr if to entice you to pet me! I am not a big cat even if pics may show otherwise.
I'm Siamese in every way except coloring. I make trilling (rrrr-ing) sounds when I run around the house to play, and talk to the other cats to get them to play with me too.
Rihanna and I are always cuddling and grooming each other. We would like to go home together. We have so much love to share with each other, and with our forever home.
Keira is a healthy, happy, outgoing young lady. She is SO soft and responsive to people. Just watching Keira and Rihanna play, cuddle, and interact is hours of amusement. We do not know how they ended up in rescue, but they are so LOVING and people friendly that we feel very fortunate to foster them. They are going to make some lucky family very happy.
Foster Meowmy says I a love bug, I cuddle, snuggle, play, sit in laps, just want to be near you. Please come meet me so we can falls in love and be so happy forever!

Notes from Home
Keira & Rihanna (now named Brigit & Freya, and they know their names by now) are doing great! We really love them, and they love us. They adore attention, and we're giving it to them and spoiling them rotten! They're SO sociable and lovable, always wanting to be near us, and constantly doing something funny or cute. Brigit "helps" me do yoga, is fascinated by running water, loves to explore high places, and brings me her fuzzy pink ball as a "present". She's a real cutie; she seems to have a wide-eyed expression of surprise a great deal of the time that's adorable.
6 month update: We're all doing great! Brigit and her sister Freya are wonderful cats. They groom each other a lot and romp with each other. Brigit especially loves watching running water (including flushing toilets!) and loves watching the birds though the window since I put a bird feeder on the deck outside. She follows me around the house a lot, and has been getting more and more chatty as time goes on - I regularly have "conversations" with her! I've come to appreciate that she's quite smart as cats go, too. She's a real love!

A little Yin -Yang
I'm the fluffy no maintenance long hair kitty. I am a play hog! I love chasing those string toys and oh! If you bring out the red dot (laser) toy I go c-r-a-z=y! I have to have to catch it!
Rihanna and Keira are a tightly-knit pair who are always together. They are looking for a permanent home where they can be playmates forever. They are very people-oriented, and have that fabulous energy and curiosity one sees in kittens. Uttterly adorable, and available to be adopted. Come and see them but be prepared to lose your heart!
Update: I is one of the nicest cats foster meowmy tells me, I is beautiful, cuddly, snuggly, playful and a lap cat, I wants to be where you are! Please come meet me and take me home!

Freya likes to lie on my lap or legs, chases the cursor on the computer screen and moving things on the TV, and even lets me brush her teeth (with tuna juice, of course) since she has tartar problems. She's a real beauty too, with soft fluffy fur. (I call her and her sister "The Beauty and The Cutie".) They're just the best cats!
6 month update: We're all doing great! She and her sister are wonderful cats. Freya is a real lap cat, "melting" over my lap while I brush her. She's a real goofball, too, not a brain in that little head, but always playing with everything and acting silly. She's a dear.

LINETTE
Linette the Lynx Point - she is about 4 months old now and fiesty and FUN. She is serious about her play! She has bright blue eyes and beautiful markings on her points with spots on her tummy. She is sister to Aisling (the Blue) and Grizelda (the bicolor). Linette and her littermates tumble everywhere with each other and the other fosters. She is friendly and loves feathered wand toys and laser points - but is happy to play with a stick as well. Like her sister Aisling she tends to walk with her tail slightly curved under. She is petit like her sisters and will be a small adult. Come meet her and her sisters - they are ready to go home!
Moving on up with Marina to live with Sheri in Sacramento!!!

Notes from Home
Ariadne came home with me because I could see how observant and intelligent she is. In the foster setting she seemed to want to engage, but was scared to venture out. In fact, she has proved to be a very curious and smart cat, and I've enjoyed training her (and Selene) on words or phrases (and associated intonation) like "tuna," "treat," "good girl," "it's OK" and "can I hold you?"
She seems very happy in her new home. Her tail goes straight up when she hears me call her, or I play with her, or she knows that food is coming. In fact, her tail is up maybe a third of the time now, which I take as a sign of her comfort and happiness with her new surroundings. She likes her companion Selene a lot, and they chase each other up and down the stairs and often sleep together on a favorite velvet chair.
She is, however, still quite skittish. She will join Selene and me on the bed, and will purr to modest ear scratching and petting, but she quickly seems overstimulated and has to scoot away to a safe distance. So I'm just doing what she's willing to accept and occasionally and gently stretching the boundaries a bit, with generous inducements of treats. She's a very different character from Selene. I'm really enjoying the process of helping her gain confidence in her new surroundings!

MARINA
Marina (she is a Dilute (Blue) Tortie) - with medium long fur. Agate's largest female kitten. Her current favorite activity is romping with her littermates and jumping sideways while puffed up. She is fluffy and very friendly. Marina is also a snowshoe like all of her littermates and her Mother Agate. All the kittens of this litter will be larger than Agate. At three months they are almost her size now! Marina with Ruairi and Tavi appear to be the largest. Although with Marina I think it is mostly fur. She has a lovely purrsonality and would be a wonderful addition to any home. Marina and her littermates are ready for adoption!

Notes from Home
Selene has adapted well to her new home. She was the first of the two cats to jump up on my bed and spend some quality time with me purring and "schnuffling" (a technical term I invented to describe her burrowing and twisting behavior as she accepts affection). Now she and Ariadne spend most nights with me. (I'm sure that the season contributes to the attractiveness of my warm bed!)
She started out practically inhaling her food, but lately she has calmed down around the feedings and has even taken to leaving some food in her dish, as if she has gained confidence that she will always have enough. She and Ariadne are getting along really well. She almost seems to "watch out" for Ariadne, who is still quite skittish.
At this point she still walks away when I approach her, but she is fully accepting of contact and affection on her terms (in the bed or sitting next to me) and will let me pick her up around feeding time and in response to the promise of a "treat." I think she's going to be a little lovebug, and I'm enjoying the process of winning her affection and confidence.

KYRA (AKA AILIS)
I LOVE to purr and cuddle and play and explore. I am an active and adorable kitten, and provide many hours of both laughter and tender moments with my foster family. I am very interactive with the 'beans here, and love hanging, talking to, and being around them. That's the Meezer in me coming out. I am part Siamese, so naturally have opinions on everything and am only too happy to whisper them in your ear.
I am curious, active, loving, and an all around cool cat. I'm lively and curious and interested in exploring, and then love nothing better than a long cuddle afterward so I can tell you ALL about it!

Note from Rebecca: Kyra is the prettiest and sweetest little girl! She truly smiles when she is pleased. Kyra is always ready for a game, whether it's with her brother, Aaron, or me and Max. She specializes in mousing styled play -- tight against the ground and quick as lightning. She is always up for chase games and kangaroo boxing matches with her brother. Besides being a loving and cuddly companion to Aaron, Kyra looks after him, too. One evening, poor Aaron ended up behind a closed door upstairs. Kyra came to tell me about the terrible problem and wouldn't be ignored. She took me to Aaron and he was quickly freed. Kyra is an astute observer, tuned-in to language, and shows an uncanny awareness of our conversations. She learns very quickly what words mean and expects us to hold to our stated intentions, or else! Or else? You know, or else we get the guilt treatment! Aaron, Max and I love her sooo much!! I am the rowdy one of the group. I always want to be in the middle of what is going on, and have opinions on how things should be done! Aaron is an amazing kitty! He is a goofy, BIG (yet slim), extremely considerate cat. Aaron's body movements are quite exotic. For example, he bobbles his head about when he is delighted with us. He sometimes sings pretty little songs when he finds no one is near. He loves to play around our feet. For Aaron, having a toy converge with a human foot is possibly the best thing that could ever happen. In fact, sometimes he gently hugs one, just because he loves feet so much. Aaron likes to organize his toys. He keeps them in a mesh gym bag which he likes to climb into for toy-filled tours around the house. Aaron's play style is expansive and energy efficient -- not as relentless and nuanced as his sister's. He prefers the ramrod approach when hitting targets on ground, and he delights in practicing birding skills when toys take flight. Aaron amazes us with his ability to remember where every last thing in the house belongs. If anything changes, he approaches the offending item with great concern, raises a paw and strikes it two or three times. What a tyrant! But a sweet tyrant, just the same. Aaron loves his sister. They spend long naps together in each others arms. Awwwwww.

GERI
Geri is a Blue Lynx Point with touches of orange ( so a semi tortie point as well). Geri is loving, friendly, likes to be held and to be cuddled. Geri is on the quiet side and not one to chat much. She is FAST to catch toys and to chase them. She loves anything with feathers and little mousie toys. Geri carries toys around and will play for hours with it - if one of the other kittens didn't grab it away. THEN the chase is on! She is very sweet natured, charming and friendly to all - dogs included.

Notes from Home
I am so happy in my forever home! Mommy and Daddy think I'm the most beautiful little girl and my sister, Savannah is so much fun! We love to chase each other up and down the hallway and the stairs and in the living room and in the fireside room. We have four great cat trees and more mice than I have ever seen before. It is fun having so many places to climb high. Savannah and I make Mommy and Daddy laugh so much that they sometimes ignore the T.V. and watch us! Daddy calls me his "little biscuit" because I fling myself at him and head butt his chin whiskers while "making biscuits" furiously on his chest and purring my loudest! Mommy calls me Scarlotti Biscotti and plays with me with feather toys. I leap and flip and do all of my acrobatics with great enthusiasm. I hope that every kitty will get a forever home like mine. I'll write again when Mommy lets me have the computer.
